Every Spend Caught and Filed — Without the Data Entry.
Today is an AI expense tracker with a living memory of what you spend. Forward the email receipt, drop in the statement export you downloaded, or just say “lunch, 32” — every purchase is filed, categorized and added to the month. By the 30th you already know where it went; you never reconstruct it from memory.

A Form to Fill Is Not an Expense Tracker.
The moment that breaks most expense tracking isn't the app — it's you, on day nine, deciding the coffee isn't worth logging. Then the cab isn't either. By month-end you're guessing, and the spreadsheet has become a work of fiction.
A manual expense tracker app
You log the first week and abandon the second
Everything you don't name lands in “Misc”
Cash lunches and taxis vanish without a trace
Month-end means reconstructing from memory and receipts
Today · your AI expense tracker
Receipts, exports and a one-line note do the logging
Categories you fix once stay fixed — and keep learning
A ten-second “lunch 32” check-in catches what cards miss
A live categorized total, queryable any day of the month
What a Real AI Expense Tracker Should Carry for You.
Three Ways In, One Categorized Total
Forward the receipt that lands in your inbox, drop in a statement export you downloaded, or tell Today what you paid. Each spend is filed into a category and added to the month — the running total is always real, never reconstructed.
Leaks and Missed Spending, Named Early
Today holds your calendar and your own recent months, so it can ask the useful question: dining is 40% above its usual pace and nothing else changed. It flags the drift in week two — while there is still something to do about it.
“Where Did This Month Go?” — Ask Any Day
A plain-language snapshot of the month: by category, by week, or against last month. The answer you used to piece together on the 30th at 11pm is one question away on the 17th.
Cash and Unlogged Spend, Caught
The market run, the round of coffees, the parking meter. A ten-second daily check-in folds the cash in, so the month's story doesn't have holes in it.
Categories That Learn From Your Fixes
Move one takeaway from “Eating out” to “Groceries” and Today applies the correction from then on — no quarterly rebuild of your whole category list.
Export Any Month, in Any Format
CSV or PDF, ready for tax season, an expense claim or the spreadsheet you keep for yourself — whatever you need the record for.
One Expense Tracker, Four Kinds of Messy Money.
Different lives, same problem: knowing where the month actually went. Today adapts the tracking to yours.
The Freelancer With a Thousand Small Expenses
Client lunches, software subscriptions, the train ticket to a meeting, stationery that “definitely counts”. Today files them as they happen, so quarterly tax prep stops being a weekend of sorting a year of receipts.
Receipts filed as they arrive
A category total for every client cost
Quarterly export ready in minutes
The Couple Who Stopped Arguing About the Shared Card
Two incomes, one household card, and a silent disagreement about who spends more. Today keeps one categorized month both of you can look at, and flags the dining line before it becomes a conversation.
One shared, categorized record
The overspend shows up early
No more “I barely spent anything”
The Month-End Reconciler Done With Guessing
A statement in one hand, a spreadsheet in the other, receipts in a drawer. Today runs the reconciliation as the month runs: total, categories and anything unexplained surface by themselves.
The month balances as it goes
Unexplained spend flagged, not buried
No end-of-month archaeology
The Traveler Who Hates Expense Reports
A week of client dinners, rides and hotel wifi. Forward each receipt as it happens; by the time the trip ends, the claim is drafted — dates, amounts and categories done.
Receipts archived on the go
The claim drafted trip by trip
No shoebox of paper to sort
Three Steps to Spending That Tracks Itself.
STEP 01
Bring the Trail You Already Create
No account logins, nothing to connect. Drop in statement exports you've downloaded, forward receipts, or tell Today the numbers — each source is optional and removable any time.
STEP 02
Memory Learns What Normal Costs
Which categories recur, what groceries usually run, when the spend spikes. Today builds a picture of your money from your own records — not from a live feed of anything.
STEP 03
The Month Files Itself, You Ask When You Want
By the 30th the summary is already there — by category, by week, compared to last month. Ask what's left for dining mid-month and get an answer, not a spreadsheet to open.

Today is an everyday finance assistant that helps you keep an honest record of what you spend. It is not a bank, broker or financial adviser, and it never touches your accounts — for investment and tax decisions, talk to a licensed professional.
Today is free on iPhone, Android, Mac and the web. You get automatic categorization, cash catch-up check-ins and month-end summaries — with no account to connect and no fee wall around the core tracking.
Will automatic tracking get my spending wrong?
Occasionally a receipt lands in the wrong category. You move it once and Today learns the fix for next time. Every entry is visible, and you can edit or delete anything at any point — nothing is locked behind the assistant's guess.
Do I have to connect my bank to use it?
No. Today works from files and traces you already create: statement exports you download yourself, receipts you forward from email, and quick notes of what you spent. There is nothing to connect and no live link to revoke later.
Where do my transactions come from, then?
Wherever you already keep them: a CSV or PDF statement export from your bank or card, receipts forwarded to Today, paydays and due dates on your calendar, or a one-line note about cash. Import once or on a schedule — Today reconciles the month without touching the account.
Is my financial data safe?
Everything Today remembers about your money can be read, edited and deleted. Deletion is real removal, not a hidden flag, and the assistant stops reasoning from anything you erase. Today never moves money and never holds account credentials — there are none to hold.
How is this better than a spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet only knows what you type and forgets why you typed it. Today files the receipt, adds the total, flags the category that jumped and remembers last March — and you can still export the whole month to CSV any time you want.
Is Today really free?
Today is available now and free to use across iPhone, Android, macOS and the web. You get the full expense tracker — automatic filing, categories, summaries and exports — while we keep improving it.
Know What the Month Has Really Cost.
Receipts, statement exports and quick notes land in one running total by category — no spreadsheet to maintain. Free to use on iPhone, Android, macOS and the web.
